From the masters of puppeteering, Jim Henson and Frank Oz once again blow my mind with mystical design and choreography. If 'The Muppets' is funny, witty, quick-paced, and well designed then this is all that but so much more. The voices actors and crew tie up so many things, from the magical music and wonderous visuals to the haunting story and eerie characters. My emotions were tugged on like a puppet with strings. Just imagine 'Star Wars' but puppets. I became so heavily involved in the lore and it was barely explained but it just makes it even more memorable. A timeless gem and Fizzgig.

Felt like a pedophile show and I don’t love Bowie’s voice 3/10

I don’t know why it took me until my late 20’s to watch because I probably would have loved this as a kid. Very refreshing to go back and see the difference practical creature/fantasy design and effects make even in a movie from the 80s. Need more of that nowadays.

I understand people like this movie and I’m not actually trashing on the movie itself. It’s the fact my dad showed this to me when I was very little. The bird puppets and their laughs gave me nightmares. Maybe if I saw this when I was older I’d have liked it more.

What a great Henson Studio film! World building that makes you want more. Good villain and great hero!

So fun! This makes me sad that we don’t really use puppets or practical effects anymore. Truly ageless.

The puppeteering in this movie is out of this world. The first half I was mostly just uncomfortable but I got into it by the end
