bill, this movie made me less attracted to you. FKA twigs ik this is how you act irl and i don’t like that. this movie felt like you were high for the first time. the emptiness in my brain was crazy during this movie. like i felt like i just woke up.

While visually appealing and groovy sounding, the cringe-worthy and flat dialogues, not to mention the needless gore, consign this reboot to the eminently forgettable pile.

Honestly mad cringe nowhere even close as good as the original, I liked the actors but the writing was terrible.

everything was so cheap and cringeworthy; the performances were terrible. fka acted as if she were high every time the camera focused on her; the chemistry was embarrassing, as was the script –it was like watching two teenagers falling in love in a Disney show–

bill skarsgård is usually so intimidating and amazing but he was also awful and lame in this

it kinda feels like when you go to a movie with your younger siblings to chaperone and the movie is just enough to keep you awake but nothing spectacular plus i didn’t know that this was a remake so i’ll definitely check that out! bonus points for a sexy bill skarsgård

Good movie, very interesting and had a good character arc. Nowhere near as good as the original but still worth watching.

I mean personally I wouldn’t go to hell for someone I just met and barely had any meaningful memories with for longer but you do you. Movie wasn’t that bad tbh

I tried to watch without comparing. As a movie it’s dull. The characters aren’t likable. The villain is bland. The love story isn’t believable. Watch the opera scene online. It’s not great but it’s fun with some blood and gore. Couple good kills. Not worth sitting through it all

Though I overall enjoyed this movie, I thought that the decent engaging moments were bogged down by filler.

I did not particularly like the chemistry between Eric and Shelly, I didn’t think it felt believable enough to justify this incredible epic romance the audience was supposed to buy into. In fact, I was not a massive fan of Shelly in general. I just thought her character was a jarring downgrade from the wholesome and beautiful character I knew as Shelly from the original. I know that this movie was not intended to be a remake, but it seems odd that they went the direction they did for the dynamic between Eric and Shelly whose love seemed to have no foundation other than them both being damaged souls.

The action scenes were good and I did enjoy Bill Skarsgård’s performance, I just feel as though he carried the movie overall but there was only so much even he could do. This is just a classic case of good ideas, poor execution.

I heard the negative buzz this movie was getting but I still like to give movies a chance because there have been a few instances where I actually find some level of enjoyment out of movies that are predominantly disliked. This is not one of those times unfortunately

FKA TWIGS!! Also the were such a cute couple why did they have to end!! HEARTBROKEN! Also fka twigs is so gorg!

Story had potential but fell flat the kills were cool but the story of them being soul mates after meeting 5 minutes earlier wasn’t believable the main villain just didn’t fit the story

I prefer this to the original. A more fleshed out story, supernatural villain, better violence, characters you care more about. Sure, the original has that cult classic status, but I stayed engaged through this one.
