This genuinely was a waste of my time. I could watch the remake over and over again. This is definitely a one and done.

For the people that mint not understand whats going in the film, the film mainly focus am the government and soldier of the virus spreading

This is the rare occurrence where the remake is better.

Was fun watching the dynamic between the non-infected switch up. Wasn’t scary, but it was pretty realistic.

Surprisingly, a lot of shots were taken from this movie for the far more successful and slicker Outbreak (with Dustin Hoffman). I don’t think this movie is as effective as its 2010 remake, but still a cool independent horror/thriller.

A decently made film, but something that seems like Romero retreads a bit. It’s a very familiar story that he’s done before and yet The Crazies just doesn’t do it as well as his other work.

pretty good for a low budget 70s picture, interestingly it was more action than horror movie

Boring

Definitely a more realistic portrayal of panic-induced pandemic behavior than its remake, but this one is quite enjoyable and just as stress-inducing. This would pair well with Cantagion. Romero is certainly a master of sociopolitical storytelling.
