Magnifique! Un chef d’œuvre! De nouveaux et celui de Pierre Niney qui brillent. On ne voit pas les 3h passer avec les intrigues qui se succèdent. Des larmes pour clôturer la fin pour ma part

Gorgeous adaptation.

A relatively faithful rendition of the book, but traded some of Dante’s mystique for theatrics. There was also a slight change to one of the characters that lessened the ending to some extent.

While some cool scenes and subplots were left out, none of the changes bothered me too much and I could understand why they felt the need for them.

j'ai jamais pris une claque comme ça devant un film, il est absolument époustouflant du début à la fin : les acteurs, la musique, les décors, le rythme... et Pierre Niney ! franchement on met du temps à s'en remettre

Omg the film was incredible, it’s the best story of revenge ever made. I really love the cast they were really amazing. This film for me is the best French movie of the year

A ne pas confondre avec le comte de menthe et cristaux. Attention, il reste un grand prince

This version is beautiful and has an amazing score, but I loved the 2002 one much more.

j'ai pleuré que deux fois et c'était a la fin 😎 et un moment j'ai eu très peur mais pas de spoil. Au cinéma c'était trop top le temps est passé hyper vite malgré la durée du film. topitop !

Ok I've waited enough. This is my sign to read the book. Seriously as a french person I felt quite proud about this "chef d'œuvre". There is no useless part, you just follow Edmund revenge without ever getting bored. French acting skills are incredible. Need to rewatch it ! 17/20

les 3h passent toutes seules, super suspens, ça se sent que ça vient d'un roman car c'est des fois un peu extra et confus. très bon film au final

First watched in theaters and was stunned by its cinematography, soundtrack, acting, and overall execution of the story. Upon rewatch, parts of the story stick out as less-developed. But you can’t deny that this is an incredible movie with few flaws. 9.4/10

HEAR ME OUT ! One of the best movie that I’Ve ever seen. The film makes you feel every emotion the Count is holding inside !! The sets, the actors, the scenes, it was divine !!!
