The Children's Hour
Such a bittersweet movie, the actors were great. Just when I was thinking “omg how do people do it in those days?” there I had my answer.

The Children's Hour
"She found the lie with the ounce of truth."
I applaud the creation of such a movie that was made during a time where it would be considered 'ill choice'. The Children's Hour shows how a lie can ruin a person's life. Children can be manipulative and cruel, and while the reveal was great, I wish Mary was punished for what she has done. It only shows her grandmother apologizing.
Shirley MacLaine showed an amazing performance. She displays her anger perfectly through her facial expressions, and her sarcasm is well read.
Being a queer character in the 60s, Martha was always doomed to suffer. Her story could only be told if she had a tragic ending, and that is why my heart goes out to her. Karen lost a lot as well, this is true, but to her it was all a lie. To Martha it was her reality. She was cursed because she loved. All because a child was bored.
