I don't even know where to begin... Had I known how graphic and disturbing the subject matter was going to be, I probably wouldn't have watched this. I mean, I expected horror, but not this kind. The story has almost too much to say on very nuanced topics but mostly fails due to underdevelopment and a lack of emotional attachment. As for JLo, this was probably her peak in terms of acting, although D'Onofrio steals the show. I'd only really recommend this for Tarsem Singh's fantasy-like artistic flair. The transitions, cinematography, costuming, lighting, and colours. I hope he makes a directorial comeback.

The most insane visuals ever. I feel like this movie was more about visuals than the story, but the story was entertaining on its own too! I really enjoyed this and would recommend. Also JLo is gorgeous I love the frosty lipgloss she wears bc this was on the cusp of 2000

The Cell

A visually stunning smorgasbord. Great plot with an interesting perspective on the psyche. D’onofrio is superb in his wickedness and Lopez is at her best. The costumes alone are enough to make it a must see, but the sound, set, and production quality put it over the top.

Such a fun and wonderfully, visually audacious film. I still love JLo in that black dress that I have the poster as omfg it is so pretty. This director needs to do more films. I know he did Mirror Mirror but we must move past that as a society- the world is falling apart, let him make a movie!!

Like all the other far-fetched things that have to do with the interconnection of minds and worlds through a blah blah blah no process with blah blah blah no chemicals and blah blah no equipment. As a technology, if it were ever implemented, I believe it would save the world. Jennifer Lopez is nice, Vince Vaughn is nice, Donofrio in the role of the mentally ill person steals the show for me. 😏07/10

Vincent and the SFX made this film decent.

A genuine work of art. Some of the most surreally authentic depictions of dreaming I've ever seen on film.

Despite it's age and some rough CGI this was one of the craziest things I've seen and in the best way possible.

😳 wow. I saw this in the Drivein 25 yrs ago & I remembered the dream sequences were visually stunning, but that’s all I rremembered. Tried re-watching last Oct, but fell asleep not bc it was bad, just tired. So watched it again last night. The cast is 🙌🏼. So f’d up but good!

The visuals are stunning. This is a cool premise with great acting by D'onofrio, imo.

Visually stunning, kinda weird, but worth a watch.

Amazing movie in every way. Shocking, suspenseful and every department involved was on their A game.
The costumes, the music, the actors. Everything is perfect.
