We don’t get to choose what makes us feel things. Sometimes it’s music, sometimes it’s art. And, sometimes it’s Harrison Ford and a CGI dog.

8/10 I love Buck! The way they were able to showcase so much emotion from the animals was amazing, and Harrison Ford has a perfect, weathered narrator voice.

The Call of the Wild
Rating: 6.6/10 ⭐️
I expected a rugged, old-school frontier adventure. While it has heart, the heavy reliance on CGI animals caught me off guard.
The Director’s Eye:
Sanders and Kamiński give the Alaskan wilderness a majestic, awe-inspiring scale. As a conservative valuing traditional masculinity and self-reliance, I loved the wholesome themes of finding purpose and respecting God's creation. Harrison Ford brings rugged gravitas to John Thornton, finding redemption through his bond with Buck. It champions a clear, traditional moral compass. Powell’s sweeping score perfectly captures the 1890s pioneer spirit.
The Cuts:
The “uncanny valley” CGI dog really bugged me. Buck's overly human expressions completely pulled me out of the emotional moments. Dan Stevens’ villain is also way too cartoonish. It's a shame the pandemic cut the theatrical run short, causing massive studio losses; Hollywood rarely makes earnest, family-friendly adventures like this anymore.
Verdict:
An earnest, wholesome adventure anchored by Ford. Distracting CGI bogs it down, but it still honors pioneer values.
Favorite Line: “We're going off the map.”

The best movie that I’ve ever watched. I wished to watch it after the book by Jack London, therefore both are great, I recommend to buffers of the book to watching it. I liked Perro he’s kind, good person. However the elimination of the pack was so fool, these people are greedy
