The Bridge on the River Kwai

Full of suspense, action, and riveting drama, Bridge on the River Kwai is a triumph of cinema. The performances by Holden and Hayakawa were excellent but ultimately overshadowed by Guinness, truly giving the performance of his career. David Lean was truly a master. 9/10

The Bridge on the River Kwai

This was one of my grandfathers favourite films, and boy did he have taste.

Great performances, mainly by Alec Guiness, with good messages. The highlight for this from me was the differing perspectives of the character’s involved, what they valued most.

How writing should be.

The Bridge on the River Kwai

Really between like and meh on this one but it’s a good watch overall. It is slow paced and the flow is a bit all over the place. But the last scene to me captured the essence of war, madness. Nicholson wants a legacy and realizes his mistake and everyone ends up dead.
