The Book Thief

I read the book and I absolutely LOVED IT but I feel like this movie just doesn’t do it justice. Like, the main characters are awesome and the main storyline is there, but there’s a lot that they missed out on and I’m really sad about that. Plus, death as a narrator was amazing.

I like the story because of the book. The movie is just too fast paced so there wasn’t much depth to anything. They missed out on some of my favourite parts. So overall good story, a bit boring (only movie), you don’t get attached because it’s too rushed but still an okay watch.

Review part of Friday Night Film

So I am currently on a school trip to Poland, and on the bus, they showed this movie. Fine by me. Then they took our phones and forced us to watch this slop for 2 hours. Sure, I hate looking at my phone while watching a movie, but I at least want peace of mind that my phone is in my pocket.

Anyway, it feels like this movie has absolutely no plot. Is it about stealing books? Is it about hiding Max? Is it about teenage romance? I don’t fucking know! I tried piecing together everything as I watched the movie, and I could not figure out the plot. And don’t get me started on that fuckass narrator.

Hey at least the dad seemed like a fun guy
