No matter that the big screen story gets convoluted and improbable-the characters make it work. They sing classic rhythm and blues songs well enough, but better yet, perform with the greats.

The Blues Brothers is probably the greatest comedy of all time.
John Landis directed this picture flawlessly and the characters of the Blues brothers might just be the coolest characters in cinematic history.

Really great absurdist comedy that drags a bit at the beginning, but gets better and better. 7.5/10

the most infamous film to come from snl’s prime, a legitimately funny and entertaining movie with strong musical numbers and iconic moments. definitely over-the-top but overall very enjoyable and has aged well. rip belushi
