The Blood on Satan's Claw
Most of the folk horror, especially from the 70s, is boring, with a few good exceptions, but this isn't one of them for me. It got intense there in a few parts, I will give it that, but every character was bland and made this feel so mid.

Folk Horror Fall continues…
Blood on Satan’s Claw (Tubi) - I know this is one of THE origins of folk horror. And, I appreciate that. But… it’s just fine, not the greatest. For me, it lacks atmosphere. Weight. There’s no real tension. The end is mostly cheesy and a let down.
I know it didn’t have a budget. They had limited time. Did the best with what they had. And I get it. That’s why it gets a 👍 and not a 😒 or 👎. There is an interesting story here. Maybe not executed the best. That might be just the time period this was filmed. The sets and costumes are well done. The acting is a bit variable, some good, some not.
It is worth watching. Seeing the origins of folk horror and seeing how far we have come.
It’s fine. For its time. 🤷♂️
