Haters be damned. This movie leans heavily into “less is more” and submerges the audience in a true found footage experience. I feel bad for people who were disappointed, clearly not having a lot of imagination. Truly terrifying and an all-time great horror flick.

maybe i disliked it bc my parents told me it was super scary and i was expecting more but this was prob one of the least scary movies ever and idk it just wasn’t that great tbh

Its hard for people to go back and see this today if they haven’t before cuz the found footage thing has been done to death, but when you try and think of being the people in theatres who never saw something like this, and believed it was real, and really is the first of its kind

Iconic, legendary, incredible…. Inspired an entire challenge in survivor season 1…. So yeah it’s a pretty big deal.

A classic. Scary because the danger is suggested instead of outright presented. It is a brilliant movie because it took barely anything to make but it turned around to be one of the most popular horror movies. Definitely a rainy day comfort movie for me.

This movie is just not a good movie. Me and my friend watched it together, and where on our phone the whole time. Could have been a lot more interesting and scary. May have just been scarier when it just came out, but overall it is not a good movie at all, it really really sucks.

Wish I had seen this when it first came out. Would have definitely enhanced the experience

i always really love when movies use older tech in order to truly get watchers immersed in the story; in this case, it worked perfectly for a “found-footage” aesthetic

Overrated found footage film. I’ve seen over 100 found footage films and this was such a disappointment especially when it was getting so much hype! The jump scares where lame asf and the story line was decent but literally didn’t go anywhere the whole film

I have a soft spot for this movie. I genuinely get scared and I just feel this movie is very unique and makes the points it’s trying to make. It isn’t for everyone but I really do recommend you to watch because of it’s horror significance. 8/10
