Funny as fuck and then what the fuck

The dialogue is witty and on point, it’s beautifully shot with great acting. Story was nonsensical and slow, another director trying to be too smart for the average audience member.

Best movie of the year. Shoulda won best picture

I enjoyed this, despite it being so *not* my type of movie. If I were to explain the plot to you it sounds almost unbelievable because of how crazy it is. Great acting though I needed subtitles for the accents 🙃

I liked how they talked though

Really quite moving and complex. Hard to feel if either character is ever really in the right. There are some very funny and very lighthearted moments throughout, but it is overall quite tough to watch the dissolution of a friendship. It’s beautiful at times and heart wrenching at others. One thing that is consistent throughout is the gorgeous cinematography and writing. “Enjoyed” might be a misnomer, but this was really well done.

This movie was SO good, but it made me SO FUCKING SAD
Phenomenal on every level- acting, writing, cinematography-the works.
But good goddamn if it didn’t hold in the pit of my stomach, starting from the very beginning, and growing throughout the movie into a lump in my throat

The acting and scenery are amazing, but I feel like this is very overhyped/overrated. That doesn’t mean it’s bad by any means, I just came in with super high expectations and was a little let down. I do hope it wins some Oscars, but this year’s awards as super competitive

There is a simple absurdity in the premise that’s very appealing that kinda starts to feel less absurd as you watch on. The quiet setting fits the story very well, that really just captures the despair of friendships ending in probably the most uniquely inane kinda funny kinda…

One of my favorite films from 2022. I’m so happy that I saw this film. A wonderfully acted and beautifully written allegory for the Irish Civil War. Colin Farrell & Brendan Gleeson really competed for their Oscars, and though I’m disappointed, I’m glad they got recognition 10/10

I understand the love this movie gets. Picture was stellar! But just not for me personally. Great acting and no doubt it deserved to be up for all the awards. I didn’t like it but definitely worth a watch for yourself
