This movie is amazing, making a silent film in 2011 and still managing to tell a captivating story is nothing short of amazing. Jean Dujardin is such an incredible actor being able to portray how he's feeling in every seen without any dialogue. 9/10

Although the story is exactly what you think it’s gonna be, I do have to applaud the novelty of doing the opposite perspective of the transition from silent films to talkies by making this a silent film. It really does work well and keeps everything fresh

This movie is genuinely so beautiful I understand why it’s deemed as a classic. I love the scene where they were in the restaurant and that side by side each having two different colors/hue on each side showing their in two different worlds+ when sound came on his new perspective

My Rating: 7/10
Nominated for 10 Oscar’s and won 5. I enjoyed this silent film. It did make me feel like it was in the 20s and I thought the story was sweet. Would I watch this again? Maybe. I loved Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo and they had great chemistry even though it was no dialogue.

A beautiful marriage of classic and modern filmmaking, which matches perfectly with the themes of this movie.

One of the greatest films ever made. The first half is an homage to silent films and the second half is about the price of fame and the toll it takes. The performances, editing, cinematography and direction are all impeccable. One of my top 5 favorites of all time.

The acting was phenomenal, I think. Felt like I could really get to know the characters even though they didn’t say a single thing. Fantastic cinematography as well. The story itself wasn’t very original though.

A very well done homage to the silent cinema, both actors are great together, but the dog takes away the movie… sorry.
