Rewatched this to prepare for what is going to be the worst four years of our lives. Trump’s 2nd term will be a nightmare and this film is a great villain origin story. Sebastian Stan deserves an Oscar for playing this sociopathic, tyrant

it’s good as a movie but such propaganda

Whenever I encounter a film involving a controversial person, I focus on the film itself. Therefore, the cinematography was amazing, the plot was great, Sebastian nailed Trump’s mannerisms, and Strong was an amazing supporting actor. Better than most modern biopics.

Liked how it was filmed. Better than most of the recent musician biopics

Wow, they really went there with this one… I honestly wanted to watch this just for Jeremy Strong’s performance since I miss Succession so much... Not only was he amazing but the whole movie was brilliantly done - really toes the line between highlighting what people admire and hate about Trump (in an ultimately brutal portrayal 😳). Fascinating to learn more about Roy Cohn after watching too.

A great biopic that shows the true nature of Donald Trump.

This film had great pacing, great acting and an amazing score and soundtrack.

Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong are absolutely incredible in this film as Donald Trump and Roy Cohn. I hope they get award nominations.

Great movie about an awful man

Definitely tried to paint Donny boy in a bad light. Interesting movie tho. 6.2/10

A disturbing cautionary tale of the American Dream. The film doesn’t go out of its way to vilify Trump as we view his transformation from bad to horrendous. Performances are phenomenal. Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn especially. The film manages to capture the morals of 70s/80s.

Spectacular. An American horror story. Jeremy Strong deserves best supporting. He put it best in an interview: “This is a Frankenstein movie.” Trumps transformation into what we know him to be today is entertaining but scary to watch. Cannot recommend this enough. So well done.

Fine movie, solid acting. Probably wouldn’t watch again

Amazing actors Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong, they definitely make the movie. Love how was filmed. Just hate a little more Trump now.

The first half seems like a humanizing narrative attempt- but don’t worry, it’s short-lived. Jeremy 💪🏼 was impeccable

It’s a good movie. The acting is the best part and has strong performances. The first half was very intriguing to me, but in the 2nd half I started to lose interest. Intersting to see Trump’s start, even if it’s not fully accurate. 6.5/10

starting the film with Nixon’s speech of “I’m not a crook” was a killer way to begin

Was fully expecting this to be a political hit job on Trump, and it was. However, Roy Cohn’s role was hilarious and what made this movie. I didn’t know this aspect of trumps rise, although I’m sure it’s slanted to make him look bad. Could’ve been much worse. 6.8/10

A really quite good biopic, and in a market where biopics are more common than ever it’s good to have one that stands out. Trump is a difficult character to portray, as it very easily just becomes an impression, but Stan does an excellent job. Visually interesting as well, the 80

Wise to release this right before election time. Crazy how my understanding of Trump as a child was through the character of Biff Tanner and this film felt like his biography when in actuality .. he was just a fictional character and this was the reality.
