This is the most harrowing and compelling prison documentary I have ever seen. It is a miracle that this inside footage even exists, let alone that it was made into a film. What we are seeing is the face of modern slavery and resistance in America today.

very well made documentary, major props to the inmates who were the driving force behind all of it…oh yea and also—f**k Kay Ivey

gatting videos from the inmates directly made this as compelling, as it is.

I have never written a review before but watching this broke my heart. These people do not deserve the way they have been treated. I haven’t even finished watching yet but this is sickening. I hope these people and their families get the justice they deserve.

eye opening documentary on exploitation within prisons eveyone should watch. modern slavery exists in every state. people, especially people of power in this film, just don’t want to acknowledge and change it. it disgusted me to see the disregard for human life, “go back to work”

This is such an incredible story that needs to be shared. It’s unconscionable that the prison system in this country is so utterly inhumane. Alabama should be hanging its head in shame at how many lives they have destroyed in allowing this to occur.

Hard to give a love rating to this one as it was a tough watch . Hard to comprehend how all the powers that be can turn a blind eye to what is happening in the ALabama prison system. They should be ashamed

God and sin does not belong in the justice system conversation.

Plumbing issues? Rats? Blood lingering? Withholding food? Overcrowded and understaffed? These are people, people who deserve adequate rehabilitation.

Get Kay Ivey and Steve Marshall out of office right now.

Disgusting sickening

Truly disturbing. A little longer than needed but really impressed at the lengths these inmates go to to show the truth to the public. Now, if only someone would listen.

Dang. This is just depressing. The system is broken and Alabama doesn’t care to fix it.

So sad very hard to watch

Absolutely unacceptable how Alabama runs their prison system. And that Ivey woman gives me massive Karen vibes. I knew racism in America was bad - but not this deep rooted. Truly an eye opening piece and left me wanting to understand the barriers to prison reform. We need to see more media about this stuff!

powerful and upsetting documentary on the unacceptable prison conditions in alabama, those of which are echoed across the nation. an excellent critique of cops and republicans, but i won’t share my opinions here. taking money from schools to build unnecessary prisons is evil

Very good and eye opening. I had no clue this was even an issue. I do wish it was a little shorter though
