The Accountant

oh god. i really enjoyed this movie. the portraying of autism was simply spectacular. the plot twist, love, loyalty; a particular way of showing it. fully recommended. 10/10.

Only watched this for the upcoming sequel, otherwise, I probably wouldn't have. I was expecting a traditional action flick, and predictable as it might've been, I was left surprisingly surprised. Mostly by the depth in the second half of the film. I wasn't really into the stereotypical 'Hollywood' autism, but I'm glad there's representation. No wonder Affleck got Batman. The rest of the cast was great, loved seeing Kendrick and Lithgow. Nothing hit me like Simmons though, he single-handedly took this to another level. Overall, great stunt work, an overly confusing story, and an unnecessarily long runtime.

Knew from the first few minutes that this one would be fun to watch. I went into it blind so the appearance of Bernthal in particular was awesome; as always, his character was witty and amusing. Simmons' role had me locked in as well but the most fulfilling treat of the entire film was of course Ben Affleck's 'Christian Wolff'. Really interesting, psychologically stimulating, and rich with subtle bits for those who enjoy the finer details. The fighting choreography? The fighting choreography. 9/10
