That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea Reviews

8/10

Wish I could’ve watched this at the cinema, but unfortunately it was playing for only a week.

Rated: 7.6/10 ⭐️

I wanted a fun anime fix to catch up on Rimuru’s story before season four. I honestly love this; it brings gorgeous visuals and a surprisingly emotional Gobta arc.

What Worked:
• The CGI water-physics in Kaien look stunning, giving a fresh vibe.
• Gobta’s major spotlight and romantic subplot honestly cracked me up.
• Rimuru’s massive sky attack to take down Zodon is pure anime hype.

The Friction:
• Zodon’s double-cross felt predictable and the exposition really dragged for me.
• With so many overpowered friends around, side characters faded into the background.
• Yura dissolving into bubbles felt abrupt; I honestly just wanted her to stay.

Verdict:
Watch for a gorgeous, action-packed bridge story. Skip if filler arcs annoy you.

Good

Absolute waste of time. The villains motors made no sense, nor did peoples’ powers added absolutely no benefit to the show. The more I think about this movie, the more frustrated I get. 😡

i love it
