made me remember why I love cinema

"I know that suicide is one of the deadly sins, but being unhappy is a great sin too".
Had to rewatch. Beautiful. I just thought what the old man was saying to convince him to not do it was dumb and cliche, the same bs they say every time, without much real meaning.
But i liked-

If I gave a thorough review I’d have far more complains than I would praise: sound design was terrible, was far longer than needed, ending was disappointing.

But over all else I feel it succeeded in what it set out to do. It had great dialogue and it felt very purposeful & heavy

In an existencial crisis. I haven’t actually watched any film, in the past couple of days. Just I wish to have my memory erased, and watch this for the first time again. Abbas K. is a director of a gem. I wish to have such wisdom in this life, and use it for the better.

Few films talk about this kind of subject-matter. This film is beautiful.

Great movie, beautiful cinematography and meaningful dialogue.

The dialogue, acting, and cinematography is beautiful. But the pacing and long shots of either not much happening or the people's voices not being picked up by the mic makes it difficult to enjoy.

I very much enjoyed this. It’s stunningly shot and takes its time with you. I’ll admit, I struggled to lock in on this, but by the end, I was very glad to have seen it. A beautiful title and a more beautiful film.

Love, life really goes on whether you like it or not. Also, I feel like I need to rewatch this another time maybe sometime soon with a new perspective

Grabbed this as a blind buy during this year's Criterion sale. Really loved it. Not for everyone.
