9/10: A lot of themes of racism, police brutality, child abuse, and coupled with zombies, voodoo, and psychological horror, it’s a damn good movie; Crazy K segment was the best part

UNDERRATED classic. No idea why it’s not as popular as it’s other campy cult classic counterparts (might have one idea haha). The last short is a bit heavy handed but I suppose out of all of them it should be.

i was not expecting this to be so deep. horror stories about real life issues with added horror aspects. it’s bold and powerful. the movie was made 30 years ago and the issues it speaks about are still insanely prevalent. it’s an important watch. i teared up a couple times

95% I have been sleeping on this movie. Every segment was amazing. I thought this was a horror comedy, and still thought it was gonna be when i saw a skeleton smoking a joint, but no. Movie was just a straight up horror anthology with deep racial undertones and some humor.

Wow, glad I finally watched this movie. It was a good horror anthology. Will be watching again. I am for sure going to watch the other 2 at some points

This movie portrays issues within the black community so well while also having the gore and comedy aspect

I think it's a good movie, although the special effects are entertaining years later. It depicts some human problems well and gives food for thought.
