A tragic tapestry of corruption & moral compromise - the predatory, self-perpetuating nature of both in society, the victims they create. Woven together by excellent cinematography & direction, precise musical cues, brilliant script & dialogue, & masterful performances.

Sweet Smell of Success
It definitely has some of the best sharp dialogue in the noir genre and memorable lines. Not my favorite in the genre, but you have 2 of the best performances in classic noir from Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis.
