Great premise, horrible execution. I don't recommend it unless you like these kinds of movies, my family and I just happen to not like it. Truthfully, we spent most of it making fun of it and questioning decisions made by them and wondering why the ocean didn't look like an ocean

Watched this movie with my mom and oh my god, I feel very bad for this family, specially the father. Some parts of the movie didnt make sense to me like how was there a dog in the movie with all the sea crabs attacking them. It’s definitely emotional and has its good moments. I found this movie visually stunning and the locations chosen for the film are also very successful. Although the characters are obviously not native English speakers, and they go from English to French randomly throughout the movie but The acting is better than I thought it would be, especially by the mother who sadly passed away in real life I think that this story has enough potential to be developed into a series, exploring the characters' journeys in more depth. It's a somewhat unique concept, the core idea of the retreating sea and the characters going on a survival adventure on what used to be the ocean floor. However, the actual execution of the film wasn't great. The movie has its attractiveness and considering the outdated premise, that's quite an accomplishment, adding a colorful cinematography as well. Overall I thought this was solid, If you like sci-fi with a pulse, if you're in it for a story that pulls you in and makes you feel something, Survive is worth your time. No, it's not flawless-but it's fun, gutsy, and full of heart. And sometimes, that's more than enough.
