Looking forward to watching the rest of Wilder's work.

An absolute classic, it tells a very unique story about a actress who is no longer in the spotlight. A great movie with stellar acting from beginning to end.

Excellently written and acted, Sunset Boulevard is the most gripping film I’ve seen in a while. Through the tragic tale of Norma Desmond l, we are taught of the perils of the ego and of obsession. This film is so excellent. There’s a reason why it’s a classic. 9/10

I've seen 4 films of Billy Wilder's now, and he just doesn't miss. A master in the film noir genre with a great story and cast that always deliver excellent performances.

Last 20 minutes were bearable

The sharp dialogue kept me hooked, and Norma's unraveling was both tragic and captivating. The cinematography, especially the haunting close-up at the end, made her downfall even more chilling. The way it was shot added so much to the film’s eerie atmoshpere

I understand why it's so universally loved now. Very interesting critique on Hollywood's old problem of disposing movie stars once they start to slightly age. Luckily it's less of a problem today, but back then it was pretty much career over when you turn 40

Beautiful and sad at the same time, dialogues are great

... This might just beat 12 Angry Men. I didn't think it could happen, but it might have. I can't be sure yet.

Had to watch it for English, went the whole year avoiding it until exams, I wish I watched it sooner. Both because it would’ve helped me in the exam and because it’s a good movie with lots of great themes
