Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story
I’ll kick things off by saying this is definitely one of my least favorite Lifetime movies so far…
Candice King was a pretty solid pick for the role of Melanie, even if it’s a bit strange to see her with dark hair—it actually suited her character well.
I went into this movie without any prior knowledge of the story, and I was genuinely taken aback by what unfolded. I would’ve put money on the idea that Melanie was hiding in the suitcases.
Two things can be true at the same time: Bill was a cheating, angry, gambling addict who mistreated his wife, while Melanie came off as an egotistical, self-absorbed, possibly sociopathic individual who chose murder over getting a divorce. I’m still unsure how closely this movie mirrors the real-life events and people, but it definitely had that classic Lifetime vibe!
*As always, my rating/review is based on a Lifetime scale, which differs from the standard movie ratings.

Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story
I was a little skeptical because it was a lifetime movie, but it was pretty good. I think she got a raw deal though because there is no way that the prosecution made their case.. I’m surprised the defense didn’t call the ex-girlfriend to atttest to his violent temper?

Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story
Has massive potential but it just seemed a little amateur. The tone didn’t quite fit the plot, needed to be way darker. Quite disappointing
