Starve Acre

It’s very slow - felt like i was national geographic for a good hour with all of the artsy nature scenes but it picked up in the last half an hour and was a beautiful folk horror. definitely more psychological than anything else, but a wonderful expression of grief

All in all a good watch, starts slow and really starts to build towards the end. An interest take on British folklore/paganism

I didn't really get it. Doesn't mean the movie is bad, I just didn't understand what it was trying to say on first watch. I'll probably read the book and watch it again. But yeah, this is an odd one.

Good tone and mood, but never fully commits to what most would consider horror. It seems to unnecessarily tread a line when it would benefit more from going all in.
