this was an excellent deep dive into black history. told the stories of very important figures that often get forgotten about when talking about the fight for freedom and civil rights.

watching this is actually learned the real reason people were lynched, I thought it was because it was just another reason white people didn't like POC, but it was actually because the white people didn't like POC doing better than them, wow

This documentary was so good and gave a real uncut look at how Blacks are treated in America. Must watch and a wake up call. Talks about racism, rape, interracial torture from slave owners, police brutality, KKK, our government system, etc.

Even though I already knew about the themes that were talked about, it a truly eye opening documentary about the struggles of black people in the USA.

This is such a powerful documentary, iām not one to sit through a documentary in one sitting but as a black person this felt really eye opening and while iām not foreign to the ideas talked about I still think it really does make me think about them in a different way

As a black person, watching this reminded me that the system we live in is about the struggle to maintain power. Also, seeing black people as criminals made me think a lot and I agree it is a real thing. I know many people who fall for this narrative, including people of color.
