Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over

I’m not even finished with the film atp (38 mins in), but I’m writing this review now. The first is genuinely a fun time even with the poor CGI, the second was on the fence. I don’t even know what to say anymore. I know it’s a kids film, but you don’t need to make it goofier.

The variety of scenarios and settings this franchise gave us was a blessing. The technology and entertainment from this movie alone could send childhood me into a never-ending spiral of rewatches. I could single-handedly provide the budget for the next 5 Spy Kids movies, simply on the amount of rewatches. The story gets a little more serious this time and plays with us on an emotional level, which is 'game' changing. I think this scared me the most because of how real it got in my head. They all became so much more than characters. Heartbroken that this was the last. I expect a reunion soon.

Peak childhood

A pretty good end to the trilogy.


The story of this film wasn’t as good as the previous two films, but it wasn’t bad. It was a big interest in me as a kid since I started to love games. The idea of going into a game was good.
