Spy is many things: A clever spoof. A chance for Melissa McCarthy and her co-stars to strut their comedic chops. An international romp. It's also a pretty darn engaging spy film. It's about a woman leaning in and finding her inner Bond.

It’s no exaggeration to say nearly everything about this film is great; the writing where just about all the joke works (had me crying-laughing or kept me laughing for minutes) and to every one of the performances; Statham plays a very subversive role & Byrne is great is always.

A thrilling rollercoaster of action and laughs. McCarty shines in her role, bringing a unique blend of humor and grit. The plot keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the comedic timing is spot-on. A must-see film.

not a serious movie at all i watched this w my grandma, n if it wasn't for her i don't think i would've enjoyed it as much as i did. she was cackling throughout w teary eyes. it got a few laughs out of me. the plot was vv predictable but i still thought it was a fun watch 6.5/10

Dragged out a little about 3 quaters in, but it wasn't regrettable. Far from it. The humour was genius, and the timing and acting were spot on. The action was cheeseyly good, and the story was definitely James Bond. Parody movies are some of my favourites but so easily ruined if taken too seriously. This took itself a little too seriously but also very unseriously. There's a certain scene, and if you've watched it, you know what scene I'm talking about. It caught me so offguard, I almost armadilloed myself onto the floor.

it’s a decent action comedy - melissa mccarthy is hilarious but it lost me at times - just thought it got a little boring and the twist was predictable
