It really amazes me how some people can finish a movie like this and, after feeling and absorbing its interpretations, find it peaceful and meaningful, while I look at it with disgust and insignificance.
I don't agree with the core ideas and how they are embraced at all. 1.5/5

I do not understand why a lot of people praise this movie, the views al pretty yes, but only because the place itself is pretty. The director is a rapist and you can see it in the movie when the only female character gets raped + animal cruelty.

even little details makes sense

Very chill movie, aesthetically pleasing without much dialogue, but also very intense. A boy and master both Buddhist living in a shrine in the middle of the lake. We watch the boy grow up with each season having a lesson to offer and think about, as we see the boy deal with the nature and samsara human life comes with.

A calm and introspective meditation on Buddhist philosophy and the circle of life

Loved this movie in high school, can’t wait to watch it again
