Okay so I watched it YEARS AGO and the ONLY thing I remember is that a cat dies. So thats why I just cant bring myself to rewatch it again. Actually nvm I remeber that the husband loved that thing. I kinda want to rewatch it just bc its so damn weird 😭 but idk if I can. Bc CATS?!

This film was pretty good however completely grossed me out towards the end. Overall, good to watch only once.

5.8 - it’s not great but I had fun. The sci-fi/horror elements are fantastic, most of the acting is mediocre, and the script is bad. Actions get a little ridiculous down the stretch almost to the point of crossing into dark comedy. Like a really cheap spin on the core concept of Jurassic Park.

The film tries to make you not like it. You resist to a point, you say "I'll like it", but in the end it succeeds: you don't like it!
Trying to find a suitable characterization for it, I end up more and more with the concept of kitsch. If one looks at the definition of kitsch from an aesthetic point of view, one will see that the film in question meets almost all the individual characteristics. A kitsch film, then, hilarious in some places, like a parody of Allien in others. It had some good, promising discoveries, which, however, are ultimately exploited in a bad way. I was not disgusted, as other commentators say, I was simply disgusted by the waste of a good idea.
Adrien Brody wastes his talent in movies like this or Predators, etc. Come on, let's say something good: The co-star fits her role perfectly, both in appearance and performance, and she's the only one who survives.
