best solo movie of the trilogy, doc ock’s script is written perfectly. tobey proves he’s the best no question.

Hate to say it but overrated?? 👀 the action sequences are definitely the saving grace of the movie. The CGI is impressive considering this came out almost 20 years ago, but idk I’m just not that invested in any of the characters. Maybe I’m biased b/c I grew up with TASM 🤷🏾‍♀️

Much better than the first, and I enjoyed the first one a hell of lot. Spider-Man 2 Took the iconic moments and memes, and made them depressing using our goat, the one and only, the amazing, the spectacular SPIDER-MAN.

1st Act 9.5/10 (Amazing intro, loved how the small details of Spider-Man getting kicked while down are shown.)

2nd Act 10/10 (The scenes with Aunt May alone warrant this.)

3rd Act 9.4/10 (Amazing don’t get me wrongs, but I liked watching Spider-Man be depressed and him not liking MJ and her not linking him, so kinda saddened h the ending.)

Plot 9.7/10 (SPIDER-MANNNNNNN.)

Soundtrack/Score 9.8/10 (The Chinese lady singing the theme is so peak.)

Acting 10/10 (Eveyrone in this is absolutely amazing.)

Pacing 8.9/10 (Raimi needs to figure out when he’s doing too much, don’t get me wrong it’s a lot of good, just WAYYYY too much, could’ve been split into two parts and replaced Spider-Man three ffs.)

Cinematography 8.8/10 (Sub-par but we got memes so it’s all good.)

Character Development 10/10 (Everyone develops spectacularly, no pun intended, and yes, even MJ.)

Writing 11/10 (I struggled to pick a quote form this because I had so many options, also, the memes.)

Ending 9.3/10 (I don’t like MJ, and her being a bitch in order to get with Peter is not what I was hoping for, still good though.)

Direction 9.3/10 (WHERE HAS MY RAIMI GONE? THIS WAS GOOD DONT GET ME WRONG, BUT CMON MAN YOU DID EVIL DEAD II.)

the ‘raindrops keep falling on my head’ by b.j. thomas is still one of the most iconic needle drops ever!

The best superhero movie ever made. Two hours of Peter getting the shit kicked out of him and living the Peter-Spider dichotomy, only for it to converge at the end with him accepting that he is both; I miss the days when superhero movies managed to have some real drama.
