this is the first movie in a while that I felt the need to turn off, not because it was bad, but because it was so unsettling

Stupid parents made poorly decisions for their family leanding them to an end that they deserve in a really boring and slowing movie.

these people are way too polite, i would only put up with that crap if it was with my best friend in the world, not some random strangers
it was entertaining enough though and pretty tense but these people have no survival skills whatsoever and i usually don’t like saying that

I just cant with how oblivious the main characters are. With everything that’s going on it’s wild that they don’t trust their guts and leave. Kinda reminds me of a horror with a similar plot and no I’m not talking about Get Out 💀

if you feel like the most uncapable male to ever exist, watch this movie, it might make you feel a little better

It is an unsettling film. It will grab you firmly and there is no amount of twisting & turning that will free you from its grasp. This is a movie the less you know about it, the better it works. Not because of the reveal, but because of the journey the peeling back those layers to get to that reveal takes you on.
PS: It did not need a remake. The original can not be improved upon, because it is perfect.

Je suis traumatisée, mais genre vraiment. Par contre les parents faut revoir la formation, parce que là c'est critique d'être aussi débile 💀

5.3 - The premise is great & the ending is very dark & unsettling. There are moments of solid tension throughout. But this would have been a much stronger short film. The slow burn build up gets way too repetitive & crosses the line of what would be realistic reactions.

The violence in this felt like a relief after all of the unease and discomfort that built up, almost like confirmation of not being wrong about being uncomfortable. The crescendo of violence at the end is intense and tragic and just leaves you feeling empty.

Messed up but it’s a good movie. I’m not sure I’d really classify it as a horror movie though

I believe that a movie is great when, even with a fantasy world, there’s still a touch of reality. Well, if you are looking for something like this, this is not the movie for you. The idea was nice tho.

Slow burn horror. Some very minor plot holes but really good and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This movie will stick with you after it ends. It’s a purposeful slow burn by design and the last 20-30 minutes hit you like a bus. It begs the question, where do you draw the line of politeness and social standards, and when does it become a problem? Highly recommend.
