Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat Reviews

fascinating but the narrative and visual collage of timelines and histories felt very incongruent

Musically & culturally rich doc like one I’ve never seen before. Shows that Africa is where the wealthiest countries reside, and how the west takes brutal advantage of it. All well paced over jazz music pushed by the US as a distraction to the atrocities. Long but worth it.

powerful story and very well-made. feels very long though

Honestly very well made. Love it but nothing more than having to watch it for my poli sci class lol

Incredible visuals and story telling. A unique way to tell a creative historical story that is fairly unknown.

The unique way this documentary is formatted engrosses you in the 1960’s Cold War era of Congolese fight for independence, producing both marvels and horrors on a grand scale. A truly singular film, this documentary sets the new standard!
