Still can’t believe we bullied an entire studio into changing the way that Sonic looks but it was very necessary 🤣

Grew up playing Sonic so this was especially great for me - how come none of you told me to watch this earlier 😭

Excited to watch the sequel!

If anything this can be appreciated for the sequels it spawned because those are truly where this series has shined. When looking back on the first one I can definitely appreciate it for what it is. I didn’t mind Schwartz as Sonic, on the spectrum of Ghibli dubs to Pratt Mario it’s about in the upper middle area. Maybe the humor isn’t always there, but Jim Carrey is hilarious. Beyond that it’s fun, it has appealing effects, and it ultimately isn’t a bad adaptation… it isn’t bad at all but it isn’t perfect in any way. 3.5/5

It's a good road trip film. I think both Ben Schaartz and Jim Carrey were great in it. Still wish wanna see the cut with the bad sonic design, tho.
