Something Wicked This Way Comes was honestly terrible. 😂 The sound was awful, the acting was poor and I really struggled with the story. We kept looking at each other throughout the film in complete disbelief because it just wasn’t working for either of us.

The one thing I will give it is Jonathan Pryce. He completely carried the film and was by far the strongest part of it. Unfortunately, even his performance couldn’t save the rest of the movie for me.

Definitely not one I’ll be watching again. 😭

It’s a nostalgic autumn Halloween movie. It definitely is a horror movie and while it may not scare modern audiences, it’s fantastic in the 1980s. The creepy carnival, the storm, the Mr dark—it’s all nostalgicly scary. The story is simple and a bit predictable but that’s what you get with a kids movie.

I don’t remember if I saw this at the movie or when it came out on TV but I remember this movie creeped me out. Just watched for the 1st time since..my memory was spotty at best. Imagine A Christmas Story as a horror movie lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

Love the October fall atmosphere, and this was pretty cool to get a horror movie from Disney back in the day.

do NOT show this to children. It’s not quite horror but there are elements that are horrifying. I felt so tense and sick during most of it and then the last 10 minutes are absolutely bananas. Don’t ask me what happened I don’t even remember

This film is the equivalent of a C-student skimming the Wikipedia page and writing the book report during the period before it’s due.
Doubly so considering that Bradbury adapted his own book. 1/5 ⭐️

I thought this was lost media because I saw it on a VHS tape 10 years ago, but now it’s on Disney Plus and all I can say is this is NOT for children

Watched it as a kid. Didn’t remember much. Watched it with the family. My wife and kids hate me for making them watch it.

Plot was a bit meandering and slightly confusing, but I liked aspects of it like the relationship between the main boy and his older father, and the creepy visuals this film offers. Jonathan Pryce plays a pretty creepy villain as well. Fun time with pretty impressive effects.

This movie scared the crap outta me as a kid lmao

I also recommend reading the book.
