I expected a standard kids’ meal parody, but this clever take on discarded toys and abandonment totally won me over.

MacLane’s blocking of the ball pit creates a claustrophobic set that makes the identity-swap feel like a genuine heist. Buzz returning to sponsor Mini Buzz is a beautiful reminder of Methodist grace: true fellowship means actively walking alongside the abandoned. Plus, Jane Lynch’s voice direction and Jackman’s score give the therapy scenes a vibrant, energetic flow.
The Cuts:
The narrative at Bonnie’s house really dragged for me; figuring out the imposter so fast stalls the tension. The support group gag gets repetitive with rapid-fire intros, so the joke doesn’t really get to breathe. Keeping it spoiler-free, the resolution feels abrupt because it cuts right past Buzz’s actual escape payoff.
