ur typical 80s film: racism, sexism, making fun of disabled kids, rape jokes, homophobic jokes…wish i skipped it

it was good an entertaining but i didn’t really understand what was happening some of the time

this movie is a prime example of parents overhyping movies because they are blinded by nostalgia

Some decent moments but more of a nostalgic appeal I don’t have

i just watched sixteen candles and it was actually kinda funny and cute?? some parts were super awkward but in like a real high school way lol. i felt so bad for her when everyone forgot her birthday…but i loved how everything worked out in the end. it’s definitely old and a few parts were kinda weird or didn’t age the best, but it still made me smile. i get why people still talk about it. not my fav movie ever but i’m glad i watched it :)
