Singin' in the Rain

This is a movie of a bygone era - an era when an audience could be impressed by the sheer happiness of a story and moved by the footwork of a master.

I didn't think I would like old musicals as much as I liked this from the acting to the singing, especially the dancing, I wish there were more in the movies that came out similar to this

This is probably my second favourite musical ever, and that comes from someone who absolutely hates them, especially the romantic ones.

Everything is beautiful, the writing, the acting from the beautiful cast, the colours used in everything, the set designs, clothes-

Very cheerful! Beautiful visuals, witty writing, & funny situations. The physicality of the performances is incredibly impressive. Cool that it is partly about the moviemaking process. The songs haven’t stuck with me other than “Good Morning” & the titular “Singin’ in the Rain.”

This was very well made, especially for its time.I love the set design and the idea of the movie itself. The characters were fun & some music was great. The performances and the choreography was so impressive. It was slightly boring in the start of the second half though.

8.2/10

first part is good, then there is a confusing part
