Only good scene is the one with the monkeys in jail and his son is on the tv the rest is just cringe and hard to watch

cinematic masterpiece. deals with the complex issues of poverty leading to a cycle of gang violence and restorative justice vs the industrial prison system.

I love it especially the scene where Johnnys dad broke out of prison to tell him he’s proud. That made me cry. Love the different renditions of each song.
