Sightseers

Dark Tourism/Dark Comedy/Modern Folk Horror… it bends and twists itself into many things, not fitting any one box perfectly, but definitely able to fit all the same. It’s uncomfortable and often that’s where the black comedy shines. It is that discomfort that draws a smirk from the wtf moment. The characters are unlikeably likeable. Just enough that you are here for the ride, but if this went a bit longer you’d want to abandon them. It walks this line well. Ben Wheatley deserves more/better than Meg 2 (although I’m sure it paid him well). I hope he gets the opportunity for that soon.
