Eh, not really for me. I appreciated the set-up and how the events collided, but the structure undercut all the tension. It’s meant to be anxiety-inducing, but unlike the frantic energy of something like Uncut Gems, the unravelling and flow here felt forced and melodramatic. It probably would have landed a bit better if the film further into the comedy.

Rachel Sennott was great - the movie is a bit messy but she harnesses that chaos and really sells the character’s stakes. We definitely needed more Molly Gordon, though everyone else, whether intentional or not, was just incredibly jarring to watch.

I wasn’t a fan of Seligman’s Bottoms either, so maybe her style and humour just aren’t for me. Hopefully whatever she does next clicks a bit more for me.
