The only reason I watched this was for Josephine Decker, as she's directing the upcoming biopic on Sinéad O'Connor, and to put it short, I hope it's far better than this. I don't know anything about who 'Shirley' Jackson is, and after watching, I still don't. To be fair, I stopped paying attention about halfway through due to the bone-dry pacing and constant repetition. I think the casting, acting, and authenticity were great, but the story didn't do much for me personally.

A little hard to follow if you aren’t paying close attention or taking breaks to pause the movie. I still enjoyed the movie and made sense of the plot towards the end. Interesting concept I haven’t seen done in a movie.

Such an odd movie. It was good. A little slow at times. Google an explanation if you get to the end and are confused.
