So it's not only Charlie Chaplin in the physical comedy silent film era because this is my first time seeing Buster Keaton, and holy shit, he's great as well. This was a thrill ride I highly enjoyed, and the stunts are pretty crazy in here. The ending is also very sweet.

Witchcraft is on Buster Keaton’s to do list, as a part of his daily routine

Sherlock Jr surprised me, for what it is, it’s more well made than 90% of film, not cause of the extent, but because it was the first to do any kind of effects, like so much of the film is “how did they do that?”, even more questioning is the fact it came out 91 YEARS AGO.

It does seem I’ve got this problem with silent movies, is that I tend to doze off during them, like I did for 10 minutes during City Lights, I was on the verge of passing out near the end of Nosferatu, and here I had to watch it in two parts cause I watched it in bed and fell asleep 10 minutes before the end.

Still I found it very enjoyable, and for how short it is, it’s worth the history lesson, if film existed during the Salem Witch Trials, Buster Keaton would have been burned at the stake.

Had me unexpectedly giggling

The part when he was riding the bike was one of the coolest scenes I’ve seen, I like the gags like when he jump through the window or he jumped in the suitcase with ties

He’s so cunty

Unbelievably fantastic. The editing is incredible!!!

This really is just a silly goofy movie and a great time if you’re interested in checking out silent films.

An absolutely hilarious and heartwarming slapstick comedy. This film is truly one of the best silent films of all time and a must watch

Endlessly entertaining and charming to the last second, Sherlock Jr. is easily one of Keatons best and most inventive films. Even after 100 years, it still awes. (Side-note: Those stunts were insane. I can’t believe Keaton actually broke his neck making this.) 9/10

This was extremely entertaining. I especially loved the initial dream scene, it was visually stunning. Very creative and innovative
