Overall, Shazam! is a fun movie with mature themes sprinkled in. It embraces the camp and humor this character needs to succeed on the big screen, even poking fun at previous DC heroes and films.

Billy becomes a superhero and the first thing he does is buy beer.

I watched it in the theater on my birthday with Rayne as a kid, I really liked it. Not sure how I’d feel about it now though

8/10 - A funny movie that surprisingly still holds up
