I expected high-octane war like the first film, but got a slow-burn courtroom drama. It trades swords for legal arguments—good intentions, but it drags.

The Director’s Eye:
The opening recreation of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre is harrowing and gritty. The period details feel authentic. As a conservative, I resonated with the theme of C. Sankaran Nair standing for truth against a corrupt establishment. It highlights that no government is above the law. Akshay Kumar gives a restrained performance, and R. Madhavan is excellent as the villainous counsel.

The Cuts:
The pacing is painfully slow. A fictional rape subplot felt like unnecessary drama, and Ananya Panday was totally out of place—she struggled to keep up with the veterans.

Verdict:
A solid history lesson on an unsung hero, but it lacks the cinematic energy of the predecessor. Good for legal buffs, skip if you want action.

Favorite Line: "The truth does not need the Crown's permission to be heard."

It was good. The pacing held up, visuals were sharp, and the performances felt authentic. Some scenes dragged, but overall, it left a strong impression.

A very solid and convincing acting by Akshay Kumar. Due to multiple Akshay movies releasing in the year , the movie lacked hype and promotion which made it lacklustre at the box office. But Khiladi has put in a genuine effort which makes it an interesting movie.

I swear it’s movies like this that make me question why I even chose my profession. I should’ve been a lawyer.

i honestly really liked this movie, it acc is as good as ppl say it is. it is soo nice and moving i loved it. the jalianwala bagh story is so close to my heart i will cherish it forever and i love watching movies based on it.
