goes against what the entire movie is supposed to be about. inner beauty is great but completely fat shames everyone. almost every person who is "good inside" when revealed to hal is fat and it's infuriating. seems more like a fat shaming movie than inclusive to all shapes 1/10

I know this movie is kind of controversial but as a fat girl myself I still love it. Yes the humor can be fatphobic but I really love Jack Black and Hal & Rosemary’s relationship.

‘Shallow Hal’ is a Romantic/Comedy with fun fantasy elements that never was thought of as a GREAT comedy but one I think is a lot of fun and while some may get offended it’s heart is in the right place.

the whole plot is just *MAN NEEDS TO BE IN A STATE OF HYPNOSIS JUST TO BE IN LOVE WITH A FAT WOMAN!!!! HAHAHAHAHA*

yk I finished it. But the movie tells in a weird twisted way that inner beauty is more important than other beauty which is a good message. But they showcase it by saying she’s REALLY overweight/ugly but she has a good personality, so if you’re blind you’re fine… kind of weird…

7/10 leuke film, vond m grappig. Maar wel een beetje controversieel want ze zetten “dikke” en “lelijke” mensen neer alsof het verschrikkelijke mensen zijn. Tot op het einde dan, dan draait het om en vind ik de film wel heel nice

I think it's a good movie for young men. that sounds AI generated but I think young guys could relate to this movie a lot.

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH??? THIS IS SO BEYOND WEIRD & PROBLEMATIC

Watched it after seeing so many scenes of it on TikTok. I liked how they incorporated the song “love grows (where my rosemary goes) into the ending.

It had some really high points and Gwyneth Paltrow is unbelievably beautiful.

This isn’t a rewatching movie though, I didn’t connect with it enough for that and the awkwardness of when he was avoiding Rosemary was unbearable
