To quote Shakespeare, "A good wit will make use of anything" and there are plenty of good wits making use of history, romance, laughter and boundless imagination in the delicious comedy Shakespeare in Love.

This was the movie i needed like it was beautiful definitely will be watching again.

Boring and poorly done

the perfect rom-com! what a beautiful look into what might have inspired Shakespeare and the ending was very apt for the story.

I know it’s not historically accurate but damn is that Shakespeare in Love

wonderfully written to blur and blend Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night into one great story. Funny and sweet, honors the time without taking itself too seriously

I genuinely wasn’t expecting not to be so good. I don’t know why my expectations were low, but holy crap. I love period pieces, I love Shakespeare and I love romantic films. And even though it was actually quite sad at times. I thought it was beautiful.

Fun & incredibly well made period piece comedy. This film gets unfairly bashed for having won best picture, which was only because Weinstein brought out the Academy that year.

Full of laughter and fun, “Shakespeare in Love” is a pretty good film but a damn good love story that’s equally well written as it’s well acted. 8/10

Fun and chaotic, very turn of the century time-period-y rom-com

Though it didn’t deserve a few of the Oscars it “won”, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE most certainly isn’t a bad movie. In fact, it’s very delightful.

Two shakespeare movie in a row, really liked it honestly a great rom com even if William is actually married with kids when that happens. 🥲
