so beautiful, so emotional, so so well done! talks about the struggles of marriage, faith and women’s right in a manner that’s so respectful and highlights the importance of how faith can be twisted to benefit patriarchy when in actuality it is pure in nature and rights and word

this movie is about all the Indian women. every sequence in this film is an eye opener, revealing a dystopian reality where women of all races, castes, and colors are victims of systemic oppression in India, hidden behind a legal framework that exists merely as a formality.

A bit long winded for me and slow somewhere in the middle of it but a very well made movie.
Def gave great insight on how women’s rights have been shaped in India based on cultural identity and how Sharia can affect women’s freedom in marriage
