Gorgeous set designs, costumes, & desaturated visual style. The royal/familial drama & political intrigue kept me engaged, but there are a few moments where the plot veers into implausibility. But the story premise is fascinating & most of the action is really, really cool.

The Bloodborne blade umbrella carries the entire film, as the rest is very convoluted and lacking any fascinating character to latch onto. I was very disappointed.

8.5 . Definitely a slow burn but super worth the watch. The cinema style is absolutely beautiful. Acting was amazing but at points was confusing, I understood everything eventually but was definitely lost at some points.
