As you can probably tell I once again lost the vote on what we would be watching at the theatre this evening. No surprise. What was surprising was how pleasant I found it. Good acting and a timeless story. Slow watch of course but solid.

Heartwarming, beautiful story. You really do learn to love all the characters in their own separate times. I think I have watched this at the perfect time! Would absolutely watch it again although my sister said she would only watch it again if she was forced lol

Lacked a plot. The edward and elinor were given two or three scenes of backstory before being separated. the only man who knew how to yearn was the colonel (who was the only good character). Sister went into the rain for 45 seconds and got deathly ill.

A fresh take on a classic. Beautifully filmed.

A beautiful, heartfelt adaptation with gorgeous visuals and strong performances. Elinor and Marianne’s bond is the highlight. Lovely atmosphere, cinematography, and music. Just wish we’d seen more of old London, but that’s a minor gripe.

am not sure what I think of it. Like I liked it, but I feel like it was a little too long. I was also just stupid when going to see the movie and thought I was watching the new Pride and Prejudice, because the title was translated to my actual language and my brain was stupid

very modern historical fiction shockingly loved it

The vibe check was passed but I would not consider this a very good adaptation which is sad for me as I really enjoyed the cast. The rythm of the story was off and a lot of elements were missing. However, the production was nice and some of the scenes made up for it.

Broke my heart that Edward wasn’t hot. Takes a new spin on the story and even though I’m faithfull to the Emma Thompson film, I see it in a new light. Made me almost not hate Marianne at all. Colonel Brandon is hot as hell.

9.8/10 I will be seeing this at least 5 more times while it’s in theaters. The chemistry is insane. The yearning, amazing. The kneeling scene giving hand scene energyyyyy

Soooo I think this movie was a bit too slow at times I found myself getting bored throughout the movie which is a never a good sign. I think there being multiple female leads made it hard to get invested in all of the characters properly. I really wish I did like it but oh well
